Destination: Detroit Michigan
Featured on Lake Erie Cruises
When you participate in Detroit cruises, you'll have the chance to visit the US's most storied automotive city. Nicknamed the "Motor City," Detroit was the location where the Ford Motor Company was founded, right on Mack Avenue. Later on, other major American car manufacturers called the city home, including General Motors and Chrysler.
It's no secret that much of this industrial city's factories have moved elsewhere now, but Detroit has only grown from here. Today, the buildings once left empty are being transformed into museums, cafes, boutique hotels, art galleries, and other great things.
This city takes pride in its history, but continues to push forward as well. Because of this, it's tons of fun to explore, and you'll almost always run into something new and exciting to do when visiting this popular Great Lakes cruises destination.
